How it works, and what it actually collects
The script loads in the background, so it won't slow your page down. Clicking the button opens a form window on top of your site, with your SitPup booking page loaded inside it. The client never leaves your page's address, and the language matches your site automatically. Behind that button sits a proper form, not a bare calendar: dates, number of pets, service type, care notes and a way to reach the client, all captured before the request reaches you.

Why not a general scheduling tool
A meeting scheduler starts with free slots. For pet care, the request needs a pet, a date range, a care location and sometimes a capacity limit. In SitPup, those parts are already in the setup, so you mostly adjust services, prices and availability.

What is a pet booking widget?

Can I use a general booking app like Calendly for pet sitting?
You can take appointments with one, especially for short visits. The trouble starts when a request covers several days, depends on how many animals you can take, or needs feeding and medication notes before you answer.
How long does it take to set up?
Most of it is entering your real services. Switch on the pet types you accept, set prices and capacity per service, then add your weekly availability. There is nothing to install, and the only code involved is the optional two-line widget snippet.
Do I need to know how to code to add the widget?
No. SitPup generates the two lines of code for you. You copy them and paste them into your website editor, the same way you would add a photo or a video, or send them to whoever manages your site.
