SitPup ("we", "our", "us") provides booking, scheduling, profile, and business management tools for pet care professionals and businesses.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data when using SitPup.

2. Data We Collect

We may collect:

  • account information (name, email address)
  • profile and business information
  • booking and scheduling data
  • customer and pet information entered by users
  • device and browser information
  • analytics and usage data
  • authentication data
  • cookies and similar technologies
  • payment and subscription information processed through third-party providers

3. How We Use Data

We use data to:

  • provide and maintain SitPup
  • manage accounts and subscriptions
  • process bookings and scheduling
  • improve product functionality and user experience
  • communicate with users
  • provide customer support
  • maintain platform security
  • detect abuse and unauthorized activity
  • analyze usage and performance

4. Payments

Our order process is conducted by Paddle.com as Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment processing, subscriptions, taxes, and related billing operations.

SitPup does not directly store full payment card information.

Billing, subscription, and refund support may also be handled through Paddle or paddle.net where applicable.

5. Third-Party Services

SitPup may use trusted third-party providers, including:

  • Supabase (database and backend infrastructure)
  • Vercel (hosting and deployment)
  • Paddle (payments and subscription processing)
  • Resend (email delivery)
  • Google Analytics (analytics)
  • Microsoft Clarity (analytics and session insights)
  • Google OAuth (authentication)

Paddle may receive limited personal data necessary for billing, tax, fraud prevention, and subscription management purposes.

These providers may process personal data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable laws.

6. Customer Data

Users are responsible for customer and pet data uploaded to SitPup.

SitPup processes such data on behalf of users for the purpose of providing platform services.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • authentication
  • remembering preferences
  • analytics, including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity where enabled
  • cookie-free, aggregated traffic measurement through Vercel Web Analytics
  • security
  • improving user experience

Users may manage cookie preferences through browser settings or cookie consent tools.

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are loaded only where analytics consent is granted. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and is used for aggregated, privacy-friendly traffic measurement.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for providing services, legal compliance, security, and operational purposes.

9. User Rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to:

  • access their data
  • correct inaccurate data
  • request deletion
  • object to processing
  • request data portability

10. Account Deletion and Personal Data

Users can delete their SitPup account and associated personal data at any time by logging in and going to Dashboard → Settings → Delete account. Users may also request deletion by contacting us at hello@sitpup.com.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data.

However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

12. Eligibility

Users must be legally capable of entering binding agreements under applicable law to use paid SitPup services.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Continued use of SitPup after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
